A first class degree does not mean a first class life or an outstanding g performance in the examination of life. Every year Nigerian universities system releases over 450,000 graduates to the labour market and still wonder if anybody really ask where these fresh heads practice the theories. Several guests on my show has claimed that there are over 62 million job seekers. However, I wish to question this figure but can't because the only place to get the real data unfortunately lacks data.
Our quest to see a generation that will reduce this alarming unemployment rate in Nigeria made us desire to start a radio show on the 19th August, 2013, titled The Job show – a show that simply announce job vacancies on air and allow job seekers to get the information for free and apply directly. Today marked two years of the show on radio with success story of more than two thousand job seekers gainfully employed. Secondly, got a recommendation to air same show in South Africa. And got a scholarship by Bloomberg to study financial journalism in Lagos Business School, Lagos.
Let history have it today that, job seekers will march in lagos to celebrate two years of the show, empowering life's . By 11am, We expect a thousand job seekers on the 19th August 2015 to walk from plot11, lateef jakande road,, ikeja to the Lagos state office. We desire to salute the governor on the establishment of job creation unit and also tender our concerns to the high rate of unemployment in Lagos State.
There is no time for procrastination anymore. Age is important but aging is more important. We all have the capability to not just age chronologically but age intelligently and exceeding expectations.
Thanks,
