A 36 year-old suspected ritualist, Mr. Augustine Daniel has died mysteriously in his room at Igbalaye street in Akure, the Ondo State capital.
Neighbours of the deceased allegedly found him dead in his sitting room with one bottle of Seaman Schnapp, bottle of Jik, knife and two dead fowls.
The remains of the deceased have since been deposited at the State Specialist Hospital Akure for further examination.
Eyewitnesses said around 11 a.m on Sunday, the deceased's wife, Folake raised an alarm over his death.
His neighbours disclosed that the deceased until his death, had turned his apartment to a shrine.
They added that Daniel, who claimed to be an auxiliary nurse, had always engaged in abortions.
It was learnt that he always threatened his neighbours with charms anytime they confronted him on his evil activities.
Members of Daniel's family stopped reporters from speaking with the deceased's wife.
The Police Public Relation Officer, Mr. Wole Ogodo, while confirmed the incident said the matter had been transferred to the state Criminal Investigation Department (CID) for proper investigation.
Ogodo said it was the wife that came to the station to report the incident on that fateful day after she discovered that the room was locked.
