Plane carrying 150 people from Spain to Germany crashes in France

An Airbus plane operated by Lufthansa's Germanwings budget airline carrying 144 passengers and 6 crew crashed in southern France this morning. The airbus A320 was flying from Barcelona, Spain to Duesseldorf, Germany when it disappeared from radar in the Alpes de Hautes Provence after sending a distress signal at 10.47am local time.
Everyone on board is feared dead after debris from the plane was found scattered over a wild area near Barcelonnette hours later. The cause of the crash is not yet known.

SEVEN-MONTH-OLD BABY DIES IN IJANIKIN LAGOS INFERNO

LAGOS—The New Year celebration was a sour one for residents of 2, Morountola Street, Ijanikin area of Lagos, as a seven-month-old baby boy, Raphael Olawola, was reportedly burnt in a fire that consumed a bungalow in the area.

Bride & Groom Shot dead On Wedding Eve

A man and his fiancee set to be joined in holy matrimony in Enugu were shot dead by gunmen suspected to be cult members.   Three other people including the manager of a filling station were shot dead during the sporadic shooting by the unknown gunmen on Abakpa and Trans-Ekulu area of Enugu. The incident occurred on Friday night at a filling station close to Dhamija Bridge opposite Our Lord’s Chosen Church, Trans-Ekulu on the Enugu-Onitsha expressway.
