Legal experts claim Oscar Pistorius could be released after 1year on house arrest as 6year sentence is branded ‘an insult to women’

Oscar Pistorius was on Wednesday sentenced to six years jail term for killing his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp but legal experts now claim the disgraced athlete could be released on house arrest after serving one sixth of his murder sentence.

Criminal lawyer William Booth, who chairs the South African Criminal Law Committee, said it was extremely likely Pistorius would be released after three years or even earlier.

16 year old Ryan Morgan (pictured above) was shot dead at his home in Jeannette, Pennsylvania, on Wednesday Feb. 4th by a classmate who then posed with his dead body, took a pictured and sent it to another friend. The killer, a 16 year old black boy, has been charged with murder. He was arrested after police received a copy of the photo ..

18 year Nigerian upcoming rapper named Isaiah Ekpaloba (pictured above) died on January 9th after he was stabbed in Wood Green, UK, after a fight with another teenager. Isaiah and a man named Jaydee Dorsett engaged in physical combat that involved the use of knifes on Friday afternoon and by the time they were done, the two young men suffered stab wounds. Mr. Isiaka Akanbi, popularly called Alfa, has been arrested for allegedly killing a 62 year old woman, Raliatu Kareem (pictured right) after stealing her wallet and other personal effects.‎ According to a report on Punch, the Alfa ‎owns a traditional healing centre on Lawani Street, Olodi Apapa, Lagos‎ and the late woman, Raliatu was his close customer for years.

Dad kills his 5 young children and dumped them in bin bags at side of road

A 32 year old father of five, Timothy Ray Jones (pictured left) has admitted to killing all five of his children and dumping their bodies in rubbish bags at the side of a road. He led police to the scene (pictured right) where they found bodies of all five of the children stuffed into bin bags near a logging road, 50 miles away in Alabama, Reuters reports.

Police arrest killer of wealthy Lagos business woman

The prime suspect in the killing of 39 year old Lizzy Njideka Nzewe, Kelechi Williams, an indigene of Umorji, Anambra state, has been arrested in Cote D'Ivoire.

Kelechi, 33, is accused of strangling Mrs Nzewe to death at her Green Estate Amuwo Odofin resident in Lagos on Monday July 21st. She was until her death a manager at Edmark Nigeria limited, and was a divorced mother of 4. She was in a relationship with the killer as at the time of her murder.
