Recall the Nigerian man that impersonated Ghanian actor, Majid Michel? Well, the fraudster is going to prison. Kelvin Ogodogu has been jailed in Ghana for 10 months with hard labour.
Kelvin was arrested on the 15th of November, 2014 when he tried to scam a woman, by telling her on Facebook that he’s Majid Michel, and needs money to facilitate his mother’s funeral.
Well, luck ran out on him, when the same woman, met he real Majid in the US during his visit, and that was how the bubble burst and poor Kelvin was investigated and caught while trying to retrieve the money via Western Union.
Kelvin was arraigned on Thursday before a Magistrates Court in Teshie, Ghana, where he was sentenced to 10 months with hard labour.
