Comedian, Okey Bakassi has highlighted the sad realities of being a celebrity.
According to Bakassi, many celebrities face sad tales in the hands of critics.
He also pointed out that celebs have become specimen in the hands of bullies, who feel they can barge into their privacy without any remorse to their feelings.
"It comes with a lot of curse, you lose your privacy, and until you lose your privacy, you wont know how much it means to you. Celebrities don't have a life that is theirs, everybody feels that entitlement to barge into your personal space, its really an expensive curse to bear honestly. When you are on this side of the boat, there are a lot of things you could just do everyday but you just make efforts to be normal".
"Am sure if you ask the average celebrities, in these days of social media, its just too much, its as if when social media came, we lost respects and our values".
"Its so painful when people go on social media insult their elders, people that if you had the opportunity to meet one on one, you wouldn't do it. People hide under the cover of anonymity to do these things. Its not good, neither who we are culturally, but then again when your life has become public, people feel they are entitle to barge into your space. That's one curse that comes with it".
