See The Footballer Set To Quit His Trade To Concentrate On Islam

Sheffield Wednesday left-back, Jeremy Helan, has told the club he is quitting football to concentrate on his Islamic religion. The former France Under-19 defender was once seen as a replacement for former France international, Patrice Evra but has decided to walk away from the game in order to 'concentrate on religion.'
Officials of the club were shocked when Helan, who came through the ranks at Manchester City, informed them of his plans last week.

The player is understood to have become disillusionedwith football and is intending to go to Saudi Arabia after reportedly spending increasing amount of time at a mosque in Sheffield.
His close ally told reporters during the weekend, "It is the talk of the dressing room.

"Jeremy told them what he wanted to do last week. He said that he wanted to quit for Saudi to concentrate on religion after becoming more involved at a mosque in Sheffield.
"The club are a bit taken aback by it. They are working with him to come to some kind of agreement.
