DJ Shot Dead For Refusing To Play A Party Guest’s Song

An IndianDJ, Arun Valmiki(30) discovered this while working a private party at the residence of a local businessman in the town of in the Pradesh state in Northern India. Local businessman Ajay Gupta had hired Valmiki to play at his daughter's birthday party. As is custom in many semi-urban townships of India's hinterland, people were shooting guns in the air as part of the celebrations.

One guest requested a song titled'Tamanche De Disco,' which translates from Hindu as "dancing with an illegal firearm." After Valmiki denied the request, the guest was so enraged that he pulled out a revolver he brought to the party and shot the DJ.
Valmiki was taken to a government hospital, but was pronounced dead upon arrival, according to the BBC. The shooter of Valmiki was a relative to the host and reportedly fired several shots in the air while on the dance floor.
The video for the song features the hero flaunting a revolver, similar to the one used to shoot and kill Vilmaki, while dancing in a discothèque. The song is taken from the 2013 Bollywood action flick called Bullett Raja.
According to police, the guest has been jailed after shooting the DJ.
Taking requests at parties and sometimes denying them because some DJs have a no request policy or it just does not fit with the set is pretty standard. To shoot and kill someone over something like this is beyond evil. Not that any song is good enough to get shot over, but especially not this one.
