Unilever Nigeria recently
appreciated their consumers by giving out two brand New Cars through the just
concluded Unilever-Shoprite Happy Shopper Celebration. The presentation of both
cars to the winners took place in Abuja and Lagos at the Unilever Head office,
Oregun.
The promo which was
conducted in all the 10 Shoprite stores across the country ran for a period of
four weeks, and was intended to celebrate ‘Naija Shoppers’ who purchased any
Unilever product such as Omo, Knorr and CloseUp.
With over 100,000 Shoppers
participating in the promo, 53,500 shoppers won instant gifts, and 42
shoppers were randomly drawn for the grand prize. Two grand prize winners

Mr. Manoj Dadcani, an
Indian national based in Nigeria emerged the winner from the Southern draws,
while David Matthew Ochola, a security operative in Abuja, emerged the winner
in the Northern draws, both going away with brand new Mitsubishi cars. Speaking at the car presentation in Lagos, Manoj
expressed his joy at emerging the winner; and stated “I have never believed in
promos, but having emerged as a winner, it evidently shows that Unilever is a
transparent and committed organization consistent in rewarding patronage”.
Also speaking at the
presentation, Mr. Kalpesh Parmar, Customer Marketing Director, Unilever Nigeria
Plc. revealed that the promo was done to actively impact the lives of their
consumers and to encourage more patronage of their products. He also stated
that “the activity was a
resounding success, setting a new mark in joint business activations and
collaborations with the customer while making shoppers and consumers smile”.
The Unilever National
Modern Retail Manager Omotade Oke-Egbe, revealed that “the promo is one of several
different promotions that is being organised monthly, with our key partners in
trade (Shoprite). Shoppers have the opportunity to buy world class Unilever
products at discounted prices and win fantastic
prizes”.
The activity
was conceptualized and executed in conjunction with the Shoprite business team
and Unilever. Consumers are advised to
be on the lookout for several upcoming opportunities to win with Unilever in
Shoprite.
