Photos: Shehu of Borno's brother dies at UNILAG guest house fire

The brother of Shehu of Borno State and a former Auditor General of Borno State, Mallam Abbah Kyari has been confirmed dead in a fire outbreak that gutted a section of the University of Lagos Guest House in the early hours of Thursday, March 3.

According to the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) the deceased who was a member of the delegation of Shehu of Borno, Abubakar Ibn Umar Garbai El-Kanemi, the new Chancellor of UNILAG, died of suffocation. The monarch and his delegation were at the university to attend El-Kanemi's installation.
The fire started at about 2am while all occupants of the complex were asleep. The deceased died of suffocation. He was buried yesterday in Borno state according to Islamic rite.
