Horny Man Beats Wife to a Pulp for Refusing Him S*x
A man has landed in court after he assaulted his wife with a cooking stick for refusing to have s*x with him.
It was alleged that Chibuwe was at his place of residence at Ralyton Club at around 8am on April 8 where he demanded to be intimate with Salowa without the use of protection.
He got annoyed as a result and began to beat the wife mercilessly, even going to the extent of beating her with a cooking stick.
He pleaded guilty to the charges of assault when he appeared before senior Mutare magistrate, Sekai Chiundura. He, however, insisted that he had not assaulted Sasha Salowa (18) his wife over his conjugal rights, but because of other spousal misunderstandings.
"Your Worship, the complainant is my wife, but she lied to the police when she made the report. I assaulted her, but it was not over unprotected s*x as she is alleging. We had a mere misunderstanding as a young couple that is just starting a family. Why would I force her to be intimate?"he asked the court.
In sentencing him, Chiundura said he had no right whatsoever to put the law into his own hands and assault his wife regardless of what she had done to him.
He had initially been slapped with a 90-day jail term which was, however, suspended on condition that he pays $100 fine by May 21.
Muslim Students to Pay N1m Fine If They Refuse to Shake their Teachers' Hands
Regional education authorities in Switzerland has ruled that guardians of students who refuse handshakes with their teacher face a fine of up to 5,000 Swiss Francs (£3,400; $5,040, N1m).
According to NewsWeek, shaking hands with teachers is a Swiss tradition and the latest ruling was made after two Muslim students, both boys, refused to shake the hand of their female teachers for religious reasons.
As a result of the ruling, all schools in the northern region of Basel-Country can impose a fine on parents of children who refuse to follow the tradition.
The ruling came after some boys had argued with teachers and refused a hand shake because it was against their religious beliefs.
"A teacher has the right to demand a handshake,"the authorities said in a statement.
The Islamic Central Council of Switzerland (ICCS) threatened a court challenge if the fines were imposed on students, saying that the regional authority had overstepped the mark in changing the ruling by the school.
The Federation of Islamic Organizations of Switzerland (IOS) did not frown at the tradition of handshaking in schools. However, it said that the legal ruling was too far.
"It could have been resolved more gently by involving the Federation of Muslims in Basel, which could have acted as a mediator,"a spokesman, Pascal Gemperli, said.
Man Shoots Male Doctor for Assisting His Wife Deliver Baby...What Really Happened Will Shock You
The man from Saudi Arabia has been arrested by Saudi authorities for shooting a male doctor who had helped his wife's delivery, after arguing that a female doctor should have overseen the birth.
Gulf News reports that the doctor, Muhannad Al Zabn, delivered the baby in April at the King Fahad Medical City in Riyadh.
The man offered his thanks to the doctor and asked to meet him at the hospital to show him his appreciation in person for the delivery.
The pair proceeded to meet in the hospital garden to talk about the delivery when the father unveiled a firearm and shot at the doctor, seriously wounding him.
The man ran from the scene but Saudi police later arrested him.
Health workers transferred Al Zabn to the hospital's intensive care unit but he is now in a stable condition.
Bassam Al Buraikan, spokesperson for the King Fahad Medical City hospital, confirmed the incident to Gulf News and said authorities were conducting an investigation using evidence from the scene of the shooting.
Pastor Forced to Marry Dead Woman He was Sleeping with After She Died
A pastor cohabiting with a woman until she died recently has been forced to perform the necessary marriage rites before her burial. The pastor was forced to marry the dead woman's corpse by her relatives.
According to AdomOnline, Emmanuel Lutterodt, a pastor, lived with Leticia Dansoa for six years at Tafo-Kwahu, Ghana, producing two children, of which one died.
After the woman fell ill, the pastor reported her death to the girl's family. But they rejected him. The family claimed not to be aware of any union between their daughter and any man, as custom demanded.
After much deliberation, the head of the deceased's family, Nana Ameyaw II, instructed that Pastor Lutterodt can only be admitted to Dansoa's funeral if he performed the marital rites, in line with tradition.
Pastor Lutterodt complied with the order, paying the dowry and fulfilling all required marital customs as Dansoa laid in state on Saturday May 21, with an officiating minister in attendance to bless the ceremony.
He was also fined GHS1500 as penalty for breaching custom by living with a woman whose rites he had failed to perform. He could only pay GHS700, which Dansoa's family accepted.
Dansoa has since been buried.

According to an authoritative report on Sky Sports, Portuguese tactician, Jose Mourinho, has put pen to paper at a central London hotel at around 5:00pm on Thursday to succeed Louis van Gaal as the new boss at Old Trafford.
Sky Sports News HQ exclusively broke the news after Mourinho returned home at 5.20pm with documents in his hand and a bottle of red wine, having met with United's executive vice chairman Ed Woodward to complete the deal.
Mourinho symbolically wore a black and red tie for the final stage of negotiations, and the deal is completed on the 12th anniversary of his winning the Champions League for the first time with Porto, knocking out United on their run to the final.
Mourinho, who has been out of work since being sacked by Chelsea in December, replaces his former mentor Van Gaal, who was dismissed by United two days after they won the FA Cup against Crystal Palace at Wembley.
On Tuesday, talks between Mourinho's agent, Jorge Mendes were well underway via phone and email and Sky sources reported that negotiations were expected to be a formality, to be completed within 48 hours.
But Mendes and Manchester United owner, Ed Woodward were forced to meet at United's offices in central London to rectify a number of image rights issues, including Chelsea's ownership of Mourinho's name.
Those issues were smoothly resolved over the course of Wednesday and Thursday and Mourinho emerged from his Chelsea home shortly before 3:00pm, suited and booted for the first time this week, where he left to seal a job he has wanted since Sir Alex Ferguson famously stood down in 2013.
