OFFICIAL: CHELSEA'S BAMFORD LOANED TO NORWICH

The 22-year-old striker, who had a spell at Crystal
Palace earlier in the season, has completed a
temporary move to Carrow Road as the Canaries look
to avoid relegation
Chelsea striker Patrick Bamford has joined Norwich
City on loan until the end of the season.
Bamford spent the first half the season on loan at
Crystal Palace but cancelled his loan at Selhurst Park
due to a lack of first-team opportunities.
His return to Chelsea coincided with the appointment
of Guus Hiddink as the club's interim manager but he
has been kept out of the team in order to remain
eligible to play for another club this season.
"I'm really happy to be here, and the sooner I'm able
to get involved the better," Bamford told Norwich's
official website.

"That's what I want to do personally, but it's also
about helping Norwich to get the points required to
stay in the league."
The 22-year-old now joins his seventh club at age 22
following previous loan spells at MK Dons, Derby
County and Middlesbrough and having started his
career with Nottingham Forest.
Bamford was the Championship's player of the year
with Boro last season and now joins the team he
suffered defeat to in the Wembley play-off final.
He scored 17 league goals during his time on
Teesside but failed to start a single Premier League
game with Palace, making six appearances from the
bench.
"Patrick is a player who excelled last season and we
are pleased to have the opportunity to bring him in,"
Canaries boss Alex Neil said.
"He's a young forward determined to make his way in
the game, and adds competition for us at the top end
of the pitch."
