Three
soldiers have been brutally murdered and many others wounded after they
were ambushed in Bayelsa State by suspected militants.
The soldiers were allegedly shot dead in Bayelsa by unknown hoodlums
Some suspected militants in Bayelsa State have brutally killed some
men of the Nigerian Army after they ambushed them on a location in
Nembe city, Nembe Local Government Area of the state.
The soldiers who are members of the Joint Task Force (JTF),
Operation Delta Safe (ODS) were shot dead by the gunmen who also carted
away several arms and ammunition belonging to the security outfit.
It was gathered that the incident happened around 9.30am. The
suspected militants, after killing the soldiers made away with military
gunboats.
According to reports, the suspected militants disguised as mourners
before unleashing several gunshots on the unsuspecting officers,
killing three instantly and injuring several others, including
civilians.
